Industry veteran with 45 years of fibre cement sheet industry experience. Previously he served as the Whole time Director of Ramco Industries Limited and was also the President of Asbestos Cement Manufacturers Association. He holds a B.E. (Chemical Eng.) degree.

Udaya Shankar Bhimaraja, Director. April 2019 – Present:

25+ years of Mfg. industry experience in US, Mexico and India. Technical (NPD, Eng. and Quality), Product management and New Business Development experience in Electronics (Kemet Electronics, USA), Venting (W.L. Gore and Associates, USA), Filtration (Air and Liquid) and Industrial Minerals (Imerys, USA) industries. He holds an MSME degree from Clemson University, USA and an MBA from Purdue University, USA.

Timeline:

2009 – First plant (80,000 MT p.a. capacity) in India was established in Meghnagar, Jhabua District, Madhya Pradesh (165 Km from Indore, 247 km from Ahmedabad, 248 km from Udaipur) to service MP, Rajasthan and Gujarat markets.

2009 – Sigiri Roofings Private Limited (80,000 MT p.a. capacity) was established in Puttalam District, Sri Lanka (90 km from Colombo) to serve the Sri Lankan market.

2010 – Second plant (90,000 MT p.a. capacity) in India was established in Gidha, Bhojpur District to service the Bihar, Orissa, UP and Nepal markets.

2010 – Third site was acquired for developing a plant in Cheyyar, near Chennai to serve the South Indian market.
